About the Summit
This landmark summit will convene policymakers, industry leaders, and global experts to explore the theme: “The Potential of Small Modular and Micro Reactors in Accelerating Africa’s Energy Transition.”
We will spotlight the transformative role of nuclear innovation, with a particular emphasis on Small Modular and Micro Reactors (SMRs and MMRs) and the enabling conditions necessary for their success—infrastructure, financing, political will, and localized technology development.
The summit is organized in collaboration with key international institutions, including the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA), Nuclear Energy Agency (NEA), World Nuclear Association (WNA), and leading regional financial institutions.
